The Lost Tools of Writing

I have an opportunity for my kids  (DD 13, DS 11) to take The Lost Tools of Writing in a class with a teacher they love. They occasionally go to her creative writing class where they complete a writing project in one 3 hour class. Anyhow, she has turned my I hate writing kid into a kid who loves her classes and writing for her. I don’t know much about this program but have always had a uneasy feeling about IEW (even though I really don’t know much about that either). I know that writing classes aren’t always recommended, but I do think it could really help my DS 11 and just wanted to know if anyone has anything to say on this program. TIA
