Ok after further review on amazon, every single person raves about it. As long as it is the older translation by Katharine Woods, which this is. I’m looking forward to reading it.
It is my favorite childhood book (just followed by Little Women). I LOVE it 🙂 it is so charming, deep, and it stays with you long after you read it. I was surprised when my sociology professor used it for one of our classes. It is deep (to study it in a college level class) and yet simple (that every child will identify himself with the little prince). I’ll stop now…you can’t tell I like the book, can you 😀
I don’t know how young but it also works for folks up through college and beyond! I read it in high school and college. We have a beautiful 50th anniversary edition but I have not considered reading it to my almost 8yos yet bc while it starts very young-child friendly, I felt it got a little harder to follow and understand as you get farther into it. I should revisit this opinion and see if I still feel that way. Enjoy!
