Have any of you followed the suggestion to have 11th & 12th grade students read The Holy War (in modern English)? It is suggested for Personal Development. If you’ve had your children read this during their last two years, did they read a certain number of pages per week? I realize it is to be split in half between the two years. Just wondering if anyone has a written page number plan. Thanks for any help you may offer. Our youngest will begin 11th grade in August and I’m currently planning out her last two years.
We are so sorry it’s taken a bit to respond. We were at a convention last week.
I asked Sonya about scheduling it and she said that if you wanted to work through the book over the course of 1 year, you could utilize a schedule like this:
Lesson 1 – ch 1
Lesson 2 – ch 2
Lesson 3 – ch 3
Lesson 4 – ch 4A
Lesson 5 – ch 4B
Lesson 6 – ch 5
Lesson 7 – ch 6A
Lesson 8 – ch 6B
Lesson 9 – ch 7A
Lesson 10 – ch 7B
Lesson 11 – catch up
Lesson 12 – exam
Lesson 13 – ch 8A
Lesson 14 – ch 8B
Lesson 15 – ch 9
Lesson 16 – ch 10A
Lesson 17 – ch 10B
Lesson 18 – ch 11A
Lesson 19 – ch 11B
Lesson 20 – ch 12
Lesson 21 – ch 13A
Lesson 22 – ch 13B
Lesson 23 – catch up
Lesson 24 – exam
Lesson 25 – 14A
Lesson 26- ch 14B
Lesson 27 – ch 15A
Lesson 28 – ch 15B
Lesson 29 – catch up
Lesson 30 – 16A
Lesson 31 – 16B
Lesson 32 – ch 17A
Lesson 33 – ch 17B
Lesson 34 – ch 18
Lesson 35 – catch up
Lesson 36 – exam
You can slow the pace down more and take 2 years if your student needs it.
