The Good and the Beautiful Curriculum

I just came across this curriculum by Jenny Phillips online which says it is mostly charlotte mason influenced. I have never heard of it before, has anyone tried this?  I would love to hear your thoughts.  One thing I read about it is that the history cycle goes from ancients to modern every year but pulls different events and goes deeper with each year.  This is something I have never seen before in a CM type curriculum.  What are your thoughts on this?  I am a new homeschooler and I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on this.
