I’ve just snagged copies of these online. I can’t wait to have them in my library!

Oh man, I’ve been looking for The Chestry Oak for ages!  Good snags!

Oh Christy! That’s wonderful!! You know how I feel about The Chestry Oak. Recently my friend, Liz, posted a letter Kate Seredy wrote in 1949 after this book was released. It added so much insight into the story.

And Miss Hickory is a find as well. 🙂

$80 for Chestry but that’s less than what I’ve seen for a long time so I counted it a snag.

The Chestry Oak is my favorite book. I borrowed a copy from a library two counties away. Still wishing I owned it. We are reading Miss Hickory right now!

It’s worth every penny you have to pay. I will encourage you to keep reading. Often I hear moms say that it starts slow. I didn’t think so, but I always tell them DO NOT GIVE UP ON THIS BOOK! Oh, and keep the tissues handy. I have two copies, one in my lending library and one put away for my adopted son.

Awesome news! I’m so happy for you! I just finished it through interlibrary loan and have to say it went to the top of my favorite books list!

Yay! Can’t wait to have both in my hands.

Also picked up 67 books for $21.40 at the library book sale yesterday. Sad for them but awesome for me!
