I wanted to express my thanks for everyone who prayed and gave words of encouragement regarding my husband’s muscle biopsy and our family.
The test went well, though we won’t know the results until next week. He didn’t develop an infection. It was painful for him, especially those first few days, but he improved.
His right arm is healing from the three breaks in his humorus; his knee problem is still up in the air. It appears on the CAT scan that it wasn’t broken, but the swelling hasn’t changed since the fall; so he had an MRI done and we are awaiting the results.
My sister came up and she and my son chopped wood for us while my dd stacked it up. So that was helpful and she’s going to come back soon to put up my clothesline and clean out the chimney; she’s quite sturdy and strong, an outdoorsy type.
My attitude has been at times good and I know I’m being prayed for, other times I struggle with resentment; but I was calmer than I expected I would be, so I am very thankful for that. I found a homeopathic nerve tonic that I’m sure was helpful as well; I just did the best I could. I found that didn’t “grow weary” as much as I was concerned I would, so that is a praise report. My reactions to money struggles and being in charge of basicly everything without becoming disrespectful to my husband due to his inabilities are my worst offenders. I know The L-rd is working in me in those areas I pray so fervently about.
There are still many other doctor visits to make this month, but I just wanted to express my gratitude to ya’ll’s prayers and encouragement. In answer to one poster, yes my Congregation is supportive of us, too; though my distance from it (72 miles) and my husband’s desire not to have people coming and going limits how much they can help in a practical way; but I am strengthened weekly there by those that love us in several other ways.
I will post on the results from the biopsy we receive next week.
G-d Bless all of you,
Rachel
