Here is a CM list of things to do by age 6. I don’t think there is much validity or point to most mainstream academic testing, at least at such a very young age. It’d be kinda like giving walking tests to a ten month old. Children are so different. IMO you’ll do best if you focus on readiness to learn, and wonder and amazement and curiosity of the world around them, and taking joy in books. If you get those done at age 5 you are good to go! OK, I’d work on some good habits, too, I think.
I understand I was around 18 months (I even remember someone seeing me and being surprised that I was walking….) – and apparently I needed something in both my hands to walk (ie, a cracker in each hand was fine…)
One of my kids was 17.5 months. I remember because Nursery in our church starts at 18 months, but we were being allowed to visit a week early with Mom staying…. and there he was crawling around with all the other kids walking…. but after a couple of weeks he started walking.
I walked on my first birthday….do they give extra credit for birthdays? Maybe that would balance things out so I’d fall into the 28th percentile on the test…..and these days, that’s enough to pass you on to the next grade!
