If you’ve used this program, could you give me a review please?  Thanks.

Bumping this up for you.  We haven’t used it – we tried a demo disc and it didn’t suit us.  Have you been able to see a demo, or obtain a demo disc?

I’m not sure – I think we have the German one.  I played with it for a bit, but was totally confused, so left it alone for a couple of years.  I played with it a bit in September and figured it out more – but I find it kind of confusing to know what you are supposed to do….

We have used Tell Me More German and Rosetta Stone German, they are both ok to a point, but we ended up using Living German, with me as teacher because I speak German and as such it was less confusing for the girls.  They still use Rosetta Stone occasionally as a supplement…but much prefer doing the book, and learning with me.  Any language requires a lot of work, memorization and practice, it also helps if you have a native or at least fluent speaker to converse with once in a while.  The girls thought both TMM and RS were ok, but boring after the first two years, and they seem to learn more doing it with me.  If you have a visual learner, RS may be better…don’t expect brilliant voice recognition for the pronunciation, neither program has that down….but they can work.  It really does help if someone in the family understands the language you are learning, because otherwise immersion on the computer can be very frustrating.  Just our opinion – immersion works great if you are living in the country, not so great if you are alone doing it.
