When I first saw this resource I thought it was more for younger kids, but now I’m wondering. Would this be appropriate for kids ages 13, 10 and 7? What do you like about it? Thanks,
Yes, I think it is appropriate for all ages. I really enjoy reading Charlotte’s words on habits, and Sonya has done the work of compiling these, so we can read and focus on one habit at a time.
This is not a step by step guide as to how to instill these habits in your child(ren) or home. You will have to read the habit on which you are focusing and discern how to work these into your family life.
Charlotte had many wonderful thoughts on education and character. Many thanks to Sonya for the LDTR resource!!
LDTR is a resource for mom. LDTR for children is a step by step. Each habit has 12ish lessons that go with it to help you teach the desired habit. I just started it and I am loving it!
I recently ordered LDTR to use over the next 4 to 5 years with my 14 year old. After spending an afternoon scanning the book I decided I needed LDTR for Children for some extra guidance. I need help with staying on the rails so I’m doing this as much for myself as for my daughter. I realize this is very late to be working on habits, but it’s my prayer that our time in this book will be fruitful.
I wanted to add for you ladies starting late with habit training. Remeber that the Bible tells us that His Word does not return void. If you are using scripture to back up the habits you are training there will be results. We may not always see those results, they may not show themselves for years. They are hearing the information/ scripture you feed them, even if the results don’t show up right now.
