Rebekah, It was the NICHE conference in Iowa. Were you working at Sharon’s booth? I’m the mom of the two girls that kept returning to the booth all day Friday…and I finally purchased a set at the end of the day…just after loosing my credit card! We were all in dresses with long hair – but that doesn’t make us particularly unique there!!
If I can figure out how to do it, I’ll take a picture and post it when I get a chance.
I was working at Sharon’s booth, I think I’m the one who checked you out… if I remember correctly, you went for your credit card to pay for the set and then couldn’t find it. Hope you got it replaced ok!
If you can use the highest quality setting on your camera and just email it to the address at the contact us on Sharon’s website. We can get it posted.
I’ll also try to post some of the projects the girls have worked on at my facebook page so everyone can see.
Suzukimom – I have no idea if she’s selling in Canada or not, I just know that sometimes small businesses don’t. We really haven’t had it come up yet (until now) so I’ll find out for sure. I know she’s gotten a call from Australia for informaiton (my husband kindly volunteered to go to any homeschool conventions there to help out – haha!)
She actually is selling to Canada. They even followed up my emails inquiries with a personal phone call. They are amazing to work with! I ordered the whole set because this is what was explained to me:
Each DVD taught in the series of 6 DVD’s introduces a new medium. It is a thorough enough intro that each child will be able to see what medium they are particularly drawn to. The 24 lessons are enough to use as a curriculum (once a week I believe) for your whole school year.
The reason I was given for using the entire set as opposed to using the two easiest only (pastel and pencil) is that the lessons are intended to be done once a week. The child looks forward to the next lesson, but doesn’t have long time gaps where concepts can be forgotten.
They are so helpful though…check with them! They’re happy to answer questions. I can’t wait to get my set and begin. Oh yes…and share them with my children too 🙂
