I am back and forth between Tanglewood Education and SCM. My daughter is in first grade and is coming from a university-model classical school (we’re moving). I have been studying CM for a few years and know that this is how God wants me to teach my children. However, the build-your-own curriculum is really stressing me out. I need some one to tell me “use this module with these books and GO”! Lol I really like the way Tanglewood provides Grade 1 curriculum and I can sub in different books if I so choose. She also offers a weekly guide to follow that I can tailor as I gain confidence. Does anyone have experience with Tanglewood that they can share? Or is anyone willing to tell me “I used these books for grade 1 and this is how it worked” that I can build from?

I have a toddler and baby at home as well, if that is relevant.

Did you see the free curriculum guide here? You can buy the history/geography/bible modules here which gives you a daily guide on what to do. Add in a literature module, and the other suggestions… and it can be all setup for you if you wish
