I’m already a member of BookMooch and Paperback Swap. If I joined Swaptree and listed all my items from PBS and BM, then had a transaction for a book from one of them, could I remove it from Swaptree? I couldn’t find that on the swaptree site.
Yes, you can go onto Swaptree and hit “remove this book” or something like that. I’ve done it several times. I have only had one swap from Swaptree and 20+ from Paperback Swap. Swaptree moves so slow (for me) that I’ve pretty much gone to Paperback Swap exclusively.
OK, another question: two of my items on my “have list” are tradeable right now. But nothing on my “want list” is. Do I have to trade now, or can I wait until something comes up on my want list? Will I get an email or do I have to keep checking the list?
You don’t have to trade if you don’t want to. And as far as I can tell you won’t get an email, you have to check the list. At least I haven’t received emails – maybe I need to change something in my account settings.
The trade is this: I’m swapping an extra copy of a Cornerstones of Freedom book and getting a Mandie book on my list. It looks like you have to trade with someone who has something you want, instead of sending to Person A for a point, then using the point to get a book from Person B, like PBS does. Maybe that’s why it goes so slowly.
