    Has anyone used another book that you could suggest for this portion of the curriculum?

    Chapter Books:

    Poor Richard

    Ben Franklin of Old Philadelphia

    or, for less advanced:

    The Many Lives of Benjamin Franklin

    Benjamin Franklin by the D’Aulaires

    I always check the other CM curriculum’s book lists if I find that a particular book isn’t working. Veritas Press also has a great list of historical books.

    This book is definitely worth it, though, I’d absolutely plan on having it read at some time.  It’s a gem!
