Subject Headings – Customizable?

I just moved from Florida to California and I’m learning the ropes here on hsing. One of the requirements is that grades 1-6 must have instruction in “English, math, social studies, fine arts, health, and PE.” I’d like to set up my subjects under these headings and then have subheadings underneath these. For example, “Social Studies” would be the main subject, followed by “History” or “Geography” or  “type in your own” for the secondary heading. I thought this would be easier for my records which I have to keep as a private school in CA. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, Laura. We’re planning to add customized subject headings to the CM Organizer in the future. In the meantime, would it work to put the alternate subject heading in parentheses beside your resource title? For example, if you enter a book that you know you’ll be using for History, you could add “(Social Studies)” beside the title so it would read like this in the Reports:

    History

(Social Studies) The World of William Penn, chapters 1-10

(Geography) Around the World in a Hundred Years, chapters 1-6

You could do the same with “Health” under the Science subject.

Thank you for the work-around. I’ll do that. 🙂
