I have seen a couple of references to Strayer Upton Practical Math and would like more information.  I’m not getting anywhere solid with a google search so if anyone has a informative site regarding this math could you link me to it?

Simple multiplication facts are escaping both my boys and I’m getting a little concerned about that!  We have used MUS the past 3 years and in our first and second years of homeschooling we played lots of board games and used lots of counters/manipulatives etc.

Does anyone have feedback to offer on this math?  I saw it recommended at the Systematic Mathematics website.  Thanks, Melissa

We are using it and it is going very well. I love the applied math through word problems. We had used Ray’s Arithmetic (another old text), but the language was quite archaic in places and proved to be a stumbling block. DD10 will use the Strayer-Upton until she is ready for Systematic Mathematics.

I know this tread is old, but these are great books.
