Would this be a bad idea? We were going to start with Module 5 for my 8 year old and 5 year old but I’d really rather start with Module 6 since we are also planning on using the Prairie Primer with the Little House on the Prairie series. I don’t know. What do you all think?
It really doesn’t matter where you start! Think of a mom with several children…. oh, lets go right in there and say 6 children born about a year apart. With such a family, each module would have a brand new child starting their schooling there….
the only real consideration I’ve heard of to look at, is what might be “required” for graduation in your state/province. Would you get U.S. history in the years they need it? But then – a lot can happen in the next 10+ years…. moving states (or countrys!), deciding on a different curriculum/program, etc. And little adjustments could be made in HS if needed….
So, I say – go for it if it is what you want to do!
I am starting this year with module 5 for my 1st grader (with 2 younger). I wanted to start with something that I really enjoyed, since I would be teaching and this is our first year and like early American and World history. I am hoping that since I start with something I really enjoy I will be able to relay that excitement to the kids 🙂 Hope it works out, I am very excited!
