Hello! I am new to the group and need some advice. I plan to h/s our 9th grader beginning in a few weeks so that she can finish out her 9th grade year at home. She has been in public school for 5.5 years and was in a self directed/Montessori type of school for 3 years. Are there any CM parents out there that got started late like myself or are currently teaching their high schooler? ANY advice and tips on how to finish out this year and begin next year?

Hi if you look in the index of the posts under High School you will find quite a lot of information. I would love to answer in depth, but one of my daughters is very ill right now, and I do not have the stamina or thought process to write much. I am sure others will pitch in though. All I will say, is don’t worry – it seems daunting but really isn’t once you relax into it. Right now our school is on hold because of the illness, and I cannot worry about that at this time, life happens and with God’s Grace we somehow get through all things.
