What about Mara Pratt’s series? American History Stories, Vol. 1, 2, 3, and 4? They are available online free here Heritage History also sells as ebook. Mainlesson.com is free online and you can purchase reprints from Amazon.
This Country of Ours and Mara Pratt Vol. 1 and 2 are also on audio free at LibriVox.
