I may begin toward the end of July, just because we will be camping for a week in August, instead of July, which is what we normally would do. I just can’t believe it is June already!
September 5th, because we have so much time invested in our county fair (we might as well camp there all week long), so we need a couple of weeks to get back on track at home. However, DD is getting a head start on geometry all summer.
Okay, that’s my officially-stated reason….we all know it’s really because I’m from an older generation of kids who never, never, NEVER started school until after Labor Day!
In PA, we can start July 1, some years we do start then. This year, we’ll officially start around the middle of July, but in real life, we’re homeschooling year round……or that’s what I’m telling myself since we didn’t get everything quite finished up. 🤔
We school year round and have already started some of my daughter’s subjects for next year. However, we have decided to take a bit of a break and just focus on finishing up Biology and Algebra. After that, we will take off a week or two and officially begin 10th grade. My guess is that it will be late August after we get back from our annual family vacation.
