Spelling Wisdom with 1 passage a week

    My 4th grader is working on Spelling Wisdom 1 for the 2nd year. We’re only doing one passage a week, and at this rate she won’t finish the book til the end of 6th grade (or 5th grade, if we bump up to 2 passages a week next year). How do you keep from getting behind with the book schedule if you’re not doing the recommended number of passages each week?

    You ignore the book schedule!  You are not behind, you are where you are.  And don’t expect that your child MUST finish all the books in the series. 🙂  Truly, it’s ok.

    I try to place them correctly in the books based on their abilities…the schedule gives me a good starting point, but I adjust it from there.  We start SW for 4th grade, so my oldest two are already a bit behind the suggested guide…I figure they may only go through book 4, but I’m fine with that…Book 5 looks very challenging!
