    Next year I will have a 3rd grader and a 5th grader.  I’m thinking of using Spelling Wisdom but I don’t want them in the same book.  Can I put my 5th grader in book 2 without doing book 1?

    You can start Spelling Wisdom at any level. If your children are new to the method of prepared dictation, you may want to have them try the lessons in the sample from book 1 and book 2, just to make sure that they don’t need an introduction to the method with the simpler lessons in the first book. But other than that, there’s no reason you can’t jump in with book 2.
