    If I had to choose one of the conferences in TX to attend which would you recommend? I dont know if I can make it or not but am hoping to be able to make arrangements. It would be even better if you could come up north to the Dallas area.

    I like the Dallas area too!  My husband’s birthday is the 23rd of October and my Dad’s is the 31st, so I probably won’t be able to attend either.  Let’s have one in Dallas!

    Well, if you’re looking at distance, Longview is closer to Dallas. Looks like it’s a couple of hours from Dallas.

    If you’re looking at content, San Antonio has two days’ worth of material. It includes the same seminar that will be given at Longview plus three additional workshops.

    If you’re looking at what I’ll be wearing, it will probably be the same outfit in both places. Wink

    Oh, Sonya, it’s not about the distance for me; it’s the dates.  Cry

     

    I even looked up to see where Loganville was since those dates are okay.  I can fly to Atlanta for free, it’s the getting to Loganville that scares me.  I don’t like to drive.  Any seminars planned for the spring?

    I am trying to sort that out too and I am probably attending the conference in Longview. Trying to figure all of that out since I really don’t want to drive in the wee hours of the morning to make it on time.

    I also vote for the Dallas area, but understand that isn’t always feasible so I am probably heading to Longview.

    I would love to do an SCM event in Dallas sometime. It’s just not going to work during this trip. We’re hoping to get into the Texas Book Fair in Arlington next May, by the way.

    Cindie, the only all-day event that I have on my 2010 calendar right now is a local one (Atlanta area) in March. We are still deciding which seminar or workshops it will include.

    We went there over Mother’s Day weekend, 2008.  It was my first homeschool convention and I took my brave dh!  It was overwhelming for a newbie to say the least.  This year I went to Austin!  Very different.  I am so glad you guys are going to be there next May (positive thinking).  

    Okay.  I guess I’m going to have to come to San Antonio — since Longview is my dh’s 40th Birthday — to see you guys!  Bless his heart, before I bought the DVD, he said he would come with me to Longview!  Anyone else coming through Waco?

    I have enjoyed your posts… you have helped me out more than once.  I am not going through Waco, but will be attending the seminar in San Antonio.  Looking forward to meeting everyone!

    Monica ~ Thank you.  I have a tendency to ramble…EmbarassedI hope my posts made sense!  I am going to talk to my family about celebrating my Dad’s birthday because I really want to come to San Antonio now!  I hope I get to meet you guys there!

    The is also the NTHEN bookfair held in Plano each August. I will come to either or both should you get it worked out.
