We had 7: Dd29, married with dd2.5 & ds5mo, Ds26, Ds24, married with dd5 & dd expected next week, dd19, off to college in 1 week, ds17, attends PS & is homeschooled, dd13, attends PS & is homeschooled, & her twin in heaven.
So by Sept. 1, we will have only two dc at home being part time homeschooled & part time public schooled. My oldest asked me what I am going to do with all my extra time. What extra time, I thought.
We have 6: DD age 24, DS age 21 (newly married!), DS age 18 (graduated last May and just moved to Texas), DS age 15, homeschooled, DS age 11, homeschooled, DS age 9, homeschooled. I have been homeschooling since 1989 and loved just about every minute of it. I love having the kids home. Moms, enjoy them while you have them as the time passes so quickly!
We also have 2 dogs–one mixed mutt & one Great Pyrenes–both female, some goats–most female, many chickens–most hens. My husband and son would like some more boys around here! 😉
I don’t believe we are done yet, but a break is certainly in order! For those of you with 5+ children, how do you handle being pregnant so often? I really want more, but the pregnancy sure keeps me down. My pregnancies aren’t high risk, they are pretty “normal”, but the morning sickness lasts like 4 months and those 4 months aren’t very productive around here. Maybe “schooling” through the summer could make up for it?? I don’t know, as much as I want more, I dread being pregnant again.
