We are enjoying it! I really like the format, it’s quite easy to “pick up and go” with it and it reinforces learning via different methods, songs, stories, etc. I must admit, I wish I would’ve done the Spanish instead of the Latin. I think we might be picking up the Spanish for this next year.
We are currently using it with our 5 & 6 year old and they both have picked up a lot in regards to words/phrases, etc. It’s very well put together for younger elementary students. Hope that helps!
I’m wanting to use it with a 2nd and 4th grader. They could be in 1st/3rd grades. I’m also thinking I would like to include my 6th grader in addition to her doing Rosetta Stone. Do you think older dc would still enjoy it?
How much reading/writing is involved? I was considering it for 1st grade originally, but saw an online sample that made me think we should perhaps wait. I am wondering if it’s appropriate for a child who is just reading short vowel words in a choppy manner in English and does very little writing. Wondering if maybe he should master his own language a bit better? Maybe even starting it mid-year might be better? Or do you think it matters with this program? I want him to be interacting with the Spanish language a lot, but he’s getting bored of just watching Spanish programs like Salsa Spanish, Professor Parrot, and Little Pim.
