We are moving soon and i’m trying to decide What exactly we should continue working on for school during the move and new house set up. We’re just moving across town to our forever home, but we need to pack, clean the old house, paint the new house, move in and unpack. I do have some books on my ipad a several educational apps.. I know we’d keep phonics going for my youngest and his counting and maybe a read aloud or two? My 11yo. will keep his math out and i’m not sure if we should stop with latin and just review via quizlet or what? So i’m thinking, math, phonics and read aloud and maybe memory work since we use the CC app. and our fighter verses. What would you recommend? Thanks
We are moving on Saturday. Just a couple of miles away but we’ve been at this house over 10 years. This week the only thingI had the kids do was reading. But I kept math, read alouds, and writing going until now. My 5th grade daughter kept with her catechism also.
Kristen, we’ve been in this for 9years. We’ll be painting next week before we move, it’s definitely hard work. Good luck on your move as well, I hope things go smoothly for you.
You are better than me. When we moved across the street, I put it all away and worked hard at having my world back together in one place. It took about 3-4 weeks before I felt “in control” of everything. LOL
For maintaining, I would keep math, writing, reading and religion. The rest could wait until you are more settled.
Shetaz, thank you! I think I’ll take your advice and just keep working on math, writing, reading and religion. I’m hoping it doesn’t take long to get settled but something tells me it’s going to take some time especially with the holidays so close.
