I am driving my dd and a boy we know to a geometry class tomorrow (weather willing; the first class has been postponed 4 times due to snow!). My dd wants to sit up front with me but it seems rude to make the boy sit in the back by himself. What do you think? They are about 12yo btw if that matters. My dd is already pretty upset about having to carpool with a (gasp!) boy.

    thanks

I’d let her sit up front…..I really don’t think a 12yo boy will mind.  *L*  He might be relieved! *L*

But, take my advice with a huge grain of salt – I don’t have any boys, and my oldest girl is only 10yo.

I have 4 kids – dd14, ds11, dd7, and ds5. I haul kids in various groups all the time. I would let my dd sit in the front. In my experience, kids don’t care if they are alone in the back unless it’s two close buddies or girlfriends who want to sit together.

My 11yo boys would be horrified to have to sit with a girl!  🙂

Thanks, everyone! Now that I think of it the boy is an only child and he is probably not that comfortable around girls anyway.
