I just finished reading “Kisses from Katie” which I highly recommend!  http://www.amazima.org/katiesbook.html

I have wanted for a long time to become more involved in supporting organizations that serve.  I think Amazima would be a great one.  I really would like to give my children the chance to be involved in a way that is meaningful to them, so I’m thinking of sponsoring a child.

Do any of you have any ideas on how to have young children (mine are only 6, 4, and 2) raise funds to participate in sponsorship?  I’ve already thought of ideas like making crafts to sell to Grandparents or friends for a few cents each, but I just wondered if anyone else had done anything like this.  It’s not really the dollar amount, as DH and I will be funding the bulk of it of course, but I want my kids to feel like they have done something to contribute.

    Suggestions?

    Joanne
