I’m trying to decide whether to attend the seminar in San Antonio or buy all the printed materials/DVDs?  Is there an advantage to going in person?  Do the DVDs and books cover the same things?  Also, do you get any of the printed materials as part of the seminar or would you still want to buy those separately?

In over 4 years of homeschooling this is the first time I’ve lived close to a homeschool seminar or convention or anything remotely homeschooly!

    Heather,

I am very glad to have bought the Seminar so I can watch it over and over.  I’ve learned so much on the *hows* and *whys* to teach.  I am still on the fence as to whether I am going to go to San Antonio for the live seminar too.  I would love to ask questions of her and other moms face to face.  I’m sorry I’m not more help.  I would do both.  You can get the book while you are there, it’s part of the seminar.

I agree that being able to watch something over again is a benefit to owning the dvds, but hearing Sonya in person and being able to ask your specific questions is wonderful, too. She is a gifted speaker, wonderful conversationalist and genuinely thoughtful lady. Also, the chatting time with other moms who were like-minded educationally was nice.

The seminar I attended gave me the go-along book.
