Scripture memorisation songs

    I have been looking for scriptures songs my kids and I like. So far I found Sherri Youngward but I would like to find some more.

    The problem is we don’t like country music nor kid music. Could not find anything I like on CBD.

    Does anyone know of anything else we might like?

    Have you checked out the Seeds Family Worship series?  http://www.seedsfamilyworship.net  They are all scripture, set to music, some have kids singing, some adults singing.  I like their contemporary sound, and can listen to them over and over.

    You can listen to samples online. We have Scripture Songs I and To Hymn With Praise. Very soothing and great for memorizing scripture!

    Thank you both for answering!

    I could not find anything you could listen to on the seedsfamily site. I must be missing something!

    The other link was nice music but I have a bit of a hard time w/KJV, English is not my first language and my kids are not too familiar either.

    I guess I’m too picky!

    Try Hide ‘Em in Your Heart by Steve Greene or The Singing Bible by Focus on the Family. We love Judy Rogers, too!

    How about Scripture Lullabies? Although they are sold as “lullabies”, they are enjoyed by all ages in our family. You can listen to samples HERE.

    We’ve also enjoyed By Heart Scripture Songs from Generation Cedar.

    I was going to say the same as missceegee.  Hide ‘Em in Your Heart does have kids singing, but Steve Green is the main singer.  My kids love it!

    thanks for all the suggestions although I am not sure any of them are what I am looking for.

    I looked up Steve Greene, the singing bible,Judy Rogers, it did not seem to me that the lyrics were actual Scriptures. Am I missing something?

    The Bible Study in Stereo is excellent.  http://tbsis.com/  I have done Psalm 139 and Colossians 3.  The music really grew on me as I learned the songs.  hth

    Judy Rogers aren’t scripture, but character.

    Hide me in your heart ARE scripture. go to amazon and you can probably hear samples.

    If you have an iOs device, look at the Fighter Verses app. There is an option for singing the verses.

    I forgot I had listen to some of the hide them in your heart on CBD.

    My kids don’t like kids music (not my older ones anyway).

    I like the Bible study in radio, I might get that…

    I just happened to think of the group Truth put out a CD called Truth Sings the Word.  It is all Scripture put to music.
