My children love playing Minecraft, so I am trying to incorporate something “educational” into their play-time. They are building a map of the first convict settlement at Sydney Cove, as part of their Australian History studies. When they have finished building the map I would like them to give a virtual tour describing the various landmarks, buildings etc.

So, can anyone recommend a free screen video recorder for either a Windows 7 PC or a Mac? Something that will enable the kids to do a 2 or 3 minute “tour” of their map.

    Thanks. Michelle

On a Mac from you can launch the QuickTime Player app and then choose New Screen Recording from the File menu.

Thanks Doug. I will give QuickTime Player a try. Any recommendations for a PC?
