SCM Seminar, Longview, Texas ~ who's going?

I was considering going to the All-Day SCM Seminar in Longview. It’s only about 3 hours northeast of my house. Is anyone else planning on going; especially someone in Central Texas who wants a ride?
I would love to meet some more CM moms out there! I would probably drive up the night before and stay in a hotel room. Anyway, just curious who’s going?~ Cindie
I really want to but I’m in West Texas, aka the Middle of Nowhere. It’s a 6 1/2 hour drive for me but it’s probably the closest I’ll ever be to one.

These were my thoughts exactly. I don’t think it will be any closer to me than Longview; unless someone decides to come to Austin, which would only be an hour away. 🙂
By the way, I just was in West Texas last weekend. Snyder to be exact. Lots and lots of wind power now! Miles and miles of metal windmills.

Where in West Texas are you? I also live in WT and am wanting to go to the seminar in Longview. I had no idea there were other CM moms out here! This is very exciting!!
Too far…wish one would come close to south Louisiana. We live near Lafayette. How do you organize one?
Hey ladies …. I just wanted to say that if there is ANY (and I do mean ANY) way you can attend, I would highly recommend it. I live in North Carolina and have already driven to South Carolina(5 hrs one way) and Iowa(16 hrs one way) to hear two different seminars by Sonya. They were outstanding. The information was spot on. Sonya’s spirit and delivery were wonderful. It was absolutely, positively the best decision I made.
I have six children so there were some things to work out for the longer trip. We (my husband and I) also drove straight through to Iowa, attended the seminar and drove straight back. I know it sounds crazy, but it was worth every penny and minute in the car. I know that not everyone can do that. I just wanted to encourage you ladies in the general area that you will not be disappointed and will most certainly be blessed by the effort.

What an awesome idea. Was he the only one; or were there other men that went, in case I can talk him into it.I’m in Central TX too and wanted to go, but I’ll be in Indiana that weekend for a wedding. There’s just no way I can swing that! LOL I’m crazy enough to drive long distances if I think it’s worth the drive!
Cindie, he did indeed sit in on some of the seminar. He had the computer or a book in the corner for some of it, but he kept getting drawn back into what we were talking about. He was the only man in the room besides ‘Vanna’, Sonya’s hubbie. So named by her as he would occasionally show a sample of something Sonya was referring to. Quite the sense of humor they both have. It does save time explaining everything if he already knows, but then there is the idea of practicing your narration skills with him.
