I’m using the SCM scripture memory system but I am wondering if you just keep adding more verses and keep the old ones each year? If so then on would it be that you have one verse for daily, odd, even, the days of the week, then on the month days you would have a few or more verses each to cover? Does that make sense? If we keep adding more verses but keep all of the old ones then years from now we will have a lot of verses to review each day. Is this correct? I just want to make sure I am doing it right.
I haven’t got that far yet, but I will probably double up when we get there and choose a couple for them to recite. I have three kids and we could all recite one, plus myself. Maybe were will file some and rotate each year? 🙂
Grace, we just keep adding more. You’re right, the Daily, Odd/Even, and Days of the Week dividers should always have only one card behind each; but the Dates of the Month dividers can have multiple cards behind them. I think we have about 7 or 8 cards behind each date of the month divider now. But since those are all review, it still takes less than 10 minutes per day to recite them all.
As a side note- I got tired of dealing with the cards, so then I moved to a binder. However, when we moved into our rv, I had to look for space saving ideas. SCM has a link to this website/app https://www.scripturebox.com/ . It has worked amazingly well for us!! It is soooo easy. I just click on the link that I saved to my bookmark bar and it shows me the Scriptures for that day. There is no flipping through cards or pages. It is very easy to add a new verse especially if you are using the SCM Verse Packs. You just click on it (they are under predefined verses on the website) and it imports into your daily box, or you can save it for later. It is very easy to just copy/paste from anywhere on the web also. Just thought I would mention this because as you add more verses it can get cumbersome.
