Level 4 (Middle Ages, R & R): This is where the “VISITS TO ASIA” book is missing, right? So… without that book, WHAT should we do for Geography?? I have really enjoyed the map drill approach in the “VISITS” books. (P.S. Level 5 is South & Central America + Australia… and Level 6 is North America, correct?). Tank you to anyone who reads and responds to this.
We’re doing the Geography as printed in the guide (basically — we did change up some books and readings). And I’m just taking Europe a section at a time and doing map study my own way.
We are currently using Visits to Europe with the Middle Ages guide. I’d just pick whichever guide you are most interested in doing. We’ll be using N. America next year, so I have no idea which one we’ll be doing for module 6.
Feel free to match any of the Visits to . . . notebooks with any of the history studies. (Especially during this time while there is some overlap in the daily plans while revisions are being planned.) If you are curious, in my mind the daily plans will eventually correlate like this.
(Already written into the revised lesson plan books)
Genesis through Deuteronomy & Ancient Egypt with Visits to Africa
Joshua through Malachi & Ancient Greece with Visits to the Middle East
Matthew through Acts & Ancient Rome with Visits to Europe
(Will be written into the future revised lesson plan books)
Middle Ages, Renaissance, Reformation & Epistles with Visits to S. America
Early Modern & Epistles with Visits to N. America
Modern Times, Epistles & Revelation with Visits to Asia
For those last three time periods, you can easily substitute a Visits to notebook in place of the written geography lessons, as desired, or follow the written geography lessons given.
I had been away from the computer and I just saw the replies. Thank you to all who commented. Sonya: We are working on Europe now as we study Ancient Rome, so next year we are OK studying Middle Ages/ Renaissance and Reformation with Visits to South America, then (YAY!). 🙂 I just didn’t see a Visits To requirement on the list for next year (Middle Ages), so I assumed it was because it would be Asia (I tend to panic prematurely). So, there’s time for the Visits to Asia to be completed, since it’s at the end of the sequence (Modern Times). Thank you so much. We love those guides!!! Thank you Sonya!!
