SCM Blog & Linking/Copying onto another site – Sonya or Doug?

    I run a co-op and LOVE your site, including the blog! I am wondering if we can copy the articles onto our forum if credit is given or if not, is linking ok? I would prefer to copy if it’s allowed as many don’t click through to the other site. But, either way the info is so useful!

    We’re so glad you enjoy our articles and find them useful.

    Yes, linking is certainly okay anytime. That’s how the Internet works and we want to participate so no need to ask permission for linking. Smile

    However, rather than copying a whole article, we would prefer that you summarize or use a short excerpt then link to the original on our site. Hopefully the summary will entice your readers to link over and read the rest of the article more than just a simple link would. We count on people being able to find our articles through Google searches. Unfortunately, Google penalizes sites that have duplicate content, which can result in the articles being harder to find for everyone. Thanks for your understanding.
