Science
My children have enjoyed outdoor secretes and we are planning pond and stream this summer. I was thinking of just reading nature lore books to them next year. They love Thornton Burgess so I am sure we will do some of those. How about an eyes and no eyes book….maybe the first one? My oldest will back a 1st grader but they are used to listening to books like little house and Poo.
Art
Anyone know of a book of interesting biographical sketches of several artists suitable to primary age children?

Laurence Arnholt has WONDERFUL books about artists. I bought mine used from Amazon, but my library has them as well. Here is a link to the titles and covers on Rainbow Resource Center.
