Scheduling Question

    I’m excited to be getting Sonyas new scheduling tool in the mail any day now -at least I hope. My question, however, as I’m looking at planning for the fall is….

    How long to do you all spend on scheduling and planning? Just curious. Do you take the time to do it in the summer, once a week, once a month, once a day? How long does it take you? I realize that it will be different for everyone depending on the size of your family, etc. I’m just wondering if I sometimes over extend myself in planning or on the other hand, if I don’t do enough.

    I enjoy spending time with you all but I realized that today, maybe I’m spending way too much time on the computer (as my ds said to me “Mom, you’ve been on the computer alot lately) ouch… How do you all fit it in? You must be more organized than me – I always know when I’m spending too much time on this box as other things seem to get left undone.

    Okay, enough said. Thank you for answering my questions. 🙂

    Hi Heather,

    I am a person that needs all of my ducks in a row. I am also ‘visual’ to the point where it is a handicap. Also, we need to provide a pretty significant paper trail for our homeschool. All this to say, I spend quite a number of days just thinking about it, and at least two more weekends getting things in order. We have eight children; five will be schooling next year (another one though, is at the ‘I want to do school work!’ stage). I do not deal well with surprises and so I may be overdoing.

    As far as fitting it all in, a schedule is my lifesaver; that and planning ahead as much as possible.
