Schedule – Timing

    Wondering how much time is typically devoted to each subject? I know that it’s much shorter than most other schedules, but just want to get an idea as to what is the norm for each subject.

    Off the top of my head for my 8 and 9 yr. olds-

    Bible reading, math, spelling, picture study, copywork, poetry, independant reading assignments-10-20 min.

    History, Science, Literature, hebrew, Shakespeare, Art, character stuff (like Lessons from the Squire and the Scroll)- 20-30 min or till finished; just depends. Sometimes hisotry and nature studies can drag out ALOT at my house!

    Other reading, family and personal-1-2 chapters (less than 20-30 min.)
