I have a couple of questions. Every year my kids take an SAT test through A Beka testing. We just had our testing this week. My daughter graduates this year. Does anyone know if these SAT tests qualify for entering College? Or does she need to take the PSAT test (I believe that’s what it’s called) to enter College? I know they have to be tested before entering college to see where <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>they’re at. Anyone know this answer? Thanks. </span>

Ps. She’s currently attending Cascadia college here in Washington state doing Running Start. FYI

We are not to highschool yet, but my sister’s daughter is, it also does not seem that long ago I was taking the SAT, LOL.

SAT for college is different than SAT test taken yearly. Was it Stanford Achievement Test?

I just read this – most students take the SAT during their junior or senior year in highschool. At least half of all students take the SAT twice – in the spring of their junior year and in the fall of their senior year. Most students also improve their score the second time. (That was true for my siblings and myself)

If you go to satcollegeboard you can find out more about it.

    PSAT is taken junior year.

As fas as what will be required, you need to check with the college.

SAT is pretty standard, but each college has it’s own rules and with testing changing, not sure if colleges are changing too.

Yes, ask the college what they would like. The current college board SAT has been aligned with Common Core standards, if that is a concern for you.

The ACT is another option; it can be used in lieu of, or in addition to, the SAT.

When I originally read the title of your post I thought: ‘why would a senior (i.e. elderly person) want to take the SAT?’

Then I clicked on the post 🙂

    I am too tired…
