Sadie Rose books?

    Does anyone know anything about the Sadie Rose series?  A family with older girls (18, 20, 22) lent them to my 10 y/o daughter. Knowing the family, I am pretty sure they would be okay…at some point. Just not sure if my daughter is there yet. I wish I had time to read through myself…but I just don’t. I found one review of them online and it spoke poorly of them–but as I looked around, the same sight spoke poorly of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, and Anne of Green Gables…so I wasn’t sure if I wanted to trust the source. I figured this was a good place to inquire…thanks for any info!

    I read them when I was young and remember liking them, but don’t remember specifics. I was around 10 when I read them. I also liked Mandi books at that age so I am thinking they were similar in style.

    What’s wrong with Anne of Green Gables? I only read a few of the books when I was young as I wasn’t a big reader. :-/

    I am not sure what people would find “wrong” with Ann of Green Gables. I just reread all the books in the series last fall and really enjoyed them!

    Then again when looking online I can find a negative review about pretty much everything 😉

    That’s why I doubted the review on the Sadie Rose books, yet being that I couldn’t find out anything else about them, it made me want to ask in this forum.
