We are planning to work through R.L.S’s “A Child’s Garden of Verses” this coming year (which starts in July for us), and I’m trying to find a child-friendly biography about him.  I’m having no luck.  Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

My young children really enjoyed the book Robert Louis Stevenson: Storyteller and Adventurer by Katharine Wilkie and so did I. 🙂

It is part of the out of print, but wonderful Piper biography series and there are some inexpensive copies on Amazon.

    Hope this helps!

That’s the book we’ve been reading this year, and my girls LOVE it!  They never want me to stop!  🙂  I love it, too.  It’s very interesting and makes him a real person.

Thank you so much.  I was having a heck of a time having anything other than “A Child’s Garden of Verses” and wikipedia-type entries coming up in my internet search.  I knew I could count on this forum though…(enter “Superman” theme and wild cheers)  I will certainly be on the lookout for a copy.
