Our family is looking for ideas to help us focus solely on Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection in the coming weeks. I plan to incorporate the resurrection eggs from our local christian store into our activites for the week and also have looked into making the resurrection cookies that both have a devotional. My husband and I both watch The Passion of the Christ after the children are in bed. What are some things your family does that helps keep the focus on Jesus? We don’t do easter baskets but typically do buy a small gift that is something for them to use in their walk with Christ. Any ideas? Any books, recipes, activities, etc. that your family loves?

Cream puffs for breakfast or with berries for dessert at lunch on Sunday…….hollow cream puff=empty tomb; cream filling= empty linens

I used to make the cream puffs from scratch, this year I’ll just use the frozen kind :o)

Ok I learned how to edit my post but not to delete it.  I had the wrong URL and then made this post to correct it.  Then I realized I could edit my original post.  SO I thought I would delete this one.  However, I don’t see the delete post button. Sorry everyone.

Shining Dawn Books has a wonderful mini-unit focusing on Easter through nature study.

check out http://www.aholyexperience.com/ She has some wonderful ideas, such as a candle ring, an Easter “garden” in a container – the pictures speak more than my words here.  They celebrate Easter even more than Christmas. I like this idea. We do home-made Resurrection Eggs (you can find the items list and verses online) starting today – 12 days before Easter morning that we open each morning at breakfast.

Ann Voskamp also has a new devotional.  If you subscribe to her blog, the link is at the bottom of each email.
