I just ran across a nice resource that may be useful to some of you who are doing some teaching around the US presidential election. This is a short video called Electing a US President in Plain English. It’s done by a small company called Common Craft that has a knack for making videos that simplify topics in creative ways.

    Doug,

My 9yo dd thanks you – she said this really helped her understand yet another thing that has to do with the debates she begs to listen to. It’s funny because we aren’t officially doing a special study on the election because I felt my daughters (the two oldest are 7 & 9) weren’t old enough to even have interest in it, but they truly are learning alot just in hearing mom and dad talk about it. We do always make it a point to take all of our children with us whenever we vote, so I should have known they would be interested. I always seem to underestimate their interest/understanding.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Rebecca (in WI)
