MelanieC.MemberCan anyone suggest a resource for the blank maps that Sonya was referring to in the Geography drill? I thank you all in advance! MelanieC.
Richele BaburinaParticipantHi Melanie, We get ours from Montessori Outlet. Here’s a pic of ours in action if you want to see the size and labels we use.

missceegeeParticipantSonya recommends Uncle Josh’s Outline Maps (cd-rom), this is what I use and it works very well. Some people just google for outline maps and use those. I know that Richelle (from this forum) has some from a montessori company with preprinted labels that she likes.

Christie
Richelle, we were responding at the same time.
Hope you are well! blessedmomMemberThere are some great maps here:
Also, you can download Seterra. It’s a free software program that quizzes the student on countries, continents, etc…
Richele BaburinaParticipantThat’s funny Christie! I like your new profile pic.
Like Christie pointed out, this is a matter of personal preference as we’d tried a printout but it was a bit laborious for my 7-yr-old to write out even a few countries.
I hope you find just what you need Melanie!

MelanieC.MemberHello Richele, Christie, and blessedmom!
Thank you so much for the suggestions! I appreciate it so much. I have just now had a chance to check the forum
and I saw all of your responses. This is such a great group of people! I feel blessed to be here. I am going to go
check all of them out to see which one will be the best for our needs. May you continue to be blessed in Messiah,
Melanie
MelanieC.MemberRichele,
Awesome blog you have! You have given me some great ideas about labeling maps for the kids. Mine love the hands on stuff. Thanks so much! Melanie
MelanieC.MemberChristie,
I went on line and found Uncle Josh’s cd-rom. Looks great! Thanks for the advice! Melanie
MelanieC.Memberblessedmom-
Thanks for the sites. d-maps.com looks useful. I appreciate the help! Melanie
NinaParticipantJust to throw out another choice. I’ve been using Enchanted Learnings maps. You have to buy a membership but it is only $20 for a year.
Rachel WhiteParticipantThere’s also http://www.worldatlas.com
There are multiple map selections there; though nothing ancient or historical from my browsing. I’ll
be getting the cd-rom from Homeschool in the Woods of all their maps.
