Recommendations for Shakespeare DVDs?

    We intend to included Shakespeare this year with our seven year old. We plan on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Does anyone have a particular DVD version to recommend? Is there a particular production company that does Shakespeare DVDs well?

    Hi Holly,

    We did that one a couple of years ago and I found a BBC animated version on YouTube that my ds enjoyed. He was 7 or 8 at the time. Here’s a link if you don’t find it on DVD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr_blGshSDQ.

    I agree checking the youtube offerings. There is animated Shakespeare offering for many of the plays. We watched Midsummernights Dream on it this year.
