We work on a Bible passage until they know it – sometimes 3 weeks, sometimes 6 weeks. If I sense they’re just not getting it and are getting discouraged, we move on and circle back to the “hard” one later.
We work on a Bible passage always; a poem every once in a while; a hymn always. The passage/poem/hymn are not synchronized. So we might get a new hymn and still be doing the “old” passage and or poem.
That’s just how we do it.
