Reason For Handwriting vs Italic

    Hi,

    Do any of you use A Reason For Handwriting instead of Italic? I really can’t get excited about Italic and am wondering what you all think of RFH? I don’t plan on using it page after page but as a guide and help. I don’t have my kids write letter after letter after letter, we focus on doing it write and then we are done but..the more I get that are actually wanting to do “school” the more I seem to want to go to a workbook for help, just help, not to follow exactly.

    Kim,

    I used RFH for two years. I have used RFH K and Book A. RFH K is great. It is perfect for beginners. Book A is good as well. I would highly recommend the curriculum. In fact, I have the cursive workbook tucked away until we are ready to use it.

    One thing we did not use is RFH’s handwriting teaching tool which is the roof, ceiling, and floor. I used special paper called SmartStart. I can’t say enough about this paper. It is wonderful and gets results, at least with my sons.
