We recently finished Anne of Green Gables.  Dd8 LOVED it.  Ds5 not so much.  We’re on ch.8 of Five Little Peppers now and he is not liking this one either.

He’s K4 this year grade wise so I don’t make him listen to our family studies but many things he enjoys participating in and I really would like to find a Lit book that he would enjoy listening in on as well.

He did enjoy Pinocchio, The Chestry Oak, and Mr. Popper’s Penguins within the last year or so.

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory is great! Right now we are enjoying the Little House on the Prairie series. We liked Charlotte’s Web, and we’ve read My Father’s Dragon (& the other 2 in the series) & all were enjoyed.

My 5yo son has really enjoyed Winnie the Pooh as well.

Oh, I forgot about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory — fabulous!  We especially enjoyed KayRay’s reading of that – https://archive.org/details/KayrayReadsToYou

I second My Father’s Dragon, and if he likes it, there are 2 more sequels.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I have a couple of them in our home library already so I’ll start there and see how they go. 🙂

Feel free to keep adding more titles!

DS, 5 yo loved all of a kind family, winnie the pooh, and we started Trumpet of the Swan, which he enjoyed but we had to return it to the library before finishing
