I am using DH with my 6 and 8 year old boys. I have the teacher book as well. My question is what to do with the pages that have only one word to copy and then several blank lines. Do you have them practice other words that they have had on previous sheets, fill the sheet with the word, or something else entirely?
And in case anyone is wondering my 6 yo does one page each day, unless he gets excited about doing really well which leads to him wanting to do more. 😉
My 8 yo does one page, front and back each day. He is using it primarily as a catch up/learn the different strokes in D’Nelian since he has been writing with typical stick and ball writing. He really wants to learn cursive, so I decided to us DH that I already had on hand to help transition him to Print to Cursive Proverbs.
I am very much enjoying the simplicity and ease of using DH. I really appreciate this resource!

So glad you’re enjoying Delightful Handwriting! You can use the extra lines for more practice or review as desired. I wouldn’t recommend filling the sheet with the same word, but he could review other words if he would like to.

Thank you for responding, Sonya. That is what I was thinking but wanted to be certain. 🙂
