Feeling okay right now, just tired. Heading in for my third treatment tomorrow morning at 9am AK time. Sure use your prayers for courage at that time! It’s a challenge to knowingly, willingly subject myself to dangerous poisons even though I know it is killing the cancer.
Just got word this week that I may very well have my bilateral mastectomy as early as mid-December. What a unique and exceptional gift! (and I’ll be throwing away the reciept! ;0 ) Then we’re looking at more chemo and then radiation, then possible reconstruction… it’ll definitely be a long haul, maybe two years.
Jenni, thank you for the update and I’m going to bookmark your blog.
I wanted to tell you my sister had her last chemo treatment in Sept. Here’s her blog: http://lisaandwayne.com/
She and her DH were both dxed with cancer a few weeks apart. It was a very tough time as they faced so many fears, but their testimony through it all encouraged so many including me. Hope it might encourage you.
Then our pastor’s wife is in her second fight against cancer. She also has such a great testimony. She is journaling here: http://leighannmccoy.org/blog/posts
Both of these ladies keep it real, but continue to glorify God. I really am amazed at their attitudies and yours too. I will continue to pray for you as you walk through this.
Please, please, please make sure you are building your system back up even though the conventional treatment is tearing it down. It pains me that people get over their current cancer just to be brought down by another one because the body was so depleted from the first treatment.
If you are dealing with breast cancer, there is an acupunturist in Palmer who specializes in women’s health and has treated many cases naturally and alongside conventional treatment.
Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers….with your courage and fantastic attitude, you will do wonderfully well in the months ahead. God bless and keep you and your family in His loving hands.
Praying for you, Jenni. You have an amazing attitude and sense of humor through all of this. Praying for complete healing and peace for you. Blessings, Gina
