questions about homeschooling in KY

I am hoping to find out some details about homeschooling in KY.

My husband finally found out today that he’s going to start a new job for his company Aug 1!! So we have to decide whether to go to Charlotte, NC (I think we’d live in SC based on the homeschool laws) or Cincinnati, OH. We’re in OH already, but would probably like to live in Northern KY. But I don’t know about the laws there.

From what I can tell (I have a migraine today) it looks like it’s easy to homeschool in KY. Is that true all the way through high school? I’m spoiled in OH by pretty much being left on my own to do what I choose. KY sounds that way too, but I want to be sure. 

We have a week to decide where to go, and then we want to get there as soon as possible. We don’t want my husband to commute. He’s an airline pilot, and he’s going to be an instructor so he can come home every day–we’d like to have that start as soon as we can, so no commuting for us.
